《奶奶跟外婆》奧斯卡提名台裔美籍編導王湘聖重拾懷舊風，用獨有共鳴手法，訴說美國亞洲移民在當地的故事。電影於美國公映後，隨即一票難求。《紅玫瑰白玫瑰》金馬影后陳沖演繹為子女犧牲夢想的母親，矚目新星王鹿山（Izaac Wang）飾演叛逆兒子，入型入格。

Its 2008 in California, and Didi, a Taiwanese-American boy, is experiencing a crazy time growing up on his last summer vacation before going to middle school. Didis worries and burdens include his grandmother and mothers excessive care, the shooting of a skateboarding video, the bitterness of his first love, and a bad relationship with his sister.
Oscar-nominated Taiwanese-American writer-director Sean Wangs nostalgic story of Asian immigrants in the U.S., which resonates with the local community in a unique way. Golden Horse Best Actress winner Joan Chen as a mother who sacrifices her dreams for her children, and rising star Izaac Wang as a rebellious son.
