Porthos Macau, a well-established canned fish brand that has brought the humble sardine from the coast of Portugal to Macau. The journey that began 80 years ago has resulted in a fusion of Portuguese and Chinese gastronomy, with canned sardines becoming a staple in family kitchens and local cha chaan tengs.
For a limited time, you can savor a menu of five Porthos dishes at our popular cha chaan teng Waso Café. Enjoy Macau’s famous spicy sardine buns with a touch of Waso’s iconic flair such as Pork Chop and Porthos Spicy Sardine in Pineapple Bun and Baked Conchiglie with Porthos Sardine in Portuguese Sauce. For an authentic local experience, order our instant noodles served with a whole can of Porthos sardines and fried egg, as enjoyed by locals at home.
